Virtual film screening: “Food is Connection”

Film Synopsis: Food is Connection documents various initiatives to strengthen Indigenous sovereignty and cultural connections through food on Vancouver Island.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with Ariel Reyes from the IYÉ collective, film's director Jumana Risheq from the IYÉ collective, Earl Claxton Jr, (Thu-thay-tun Kapilano) from Tsawout First Nation, who is an Elder, storyteller and educator, and Jared Qwustenuxun Williams who is Chef to the Quw'utsun Sul-hween and writer for the Discourse Cowichan.
